Glass Industry

WITH US IT IS GETTING HOT.

What are we doing in the glass industry?

To melt huge quantities of glass, proprtionately large-scale furnaces are required, which somehow need to be heated. Such furnaces are often gas or oil-fired by large burners. Modern oxy-fuel-burners allow an increase of the flame temperature up to more than 2000 °C by using oxygen instead of air in the gas mixture. Higher flame temperatures in the glass furnace improve the heat transfer to the batch and glass and decrease the NOx formation in the exhaust.

Zirconia burner blocks are used here as a part of the burners.
