What are we doing in the aviation industry?

It's a hot affair in the jet engines of airplanes! Blades and vanes mounted on a ring will be impinged with a burning, compressed air-kerosene mixture, which generates the thrust. Here alloys of nickel cobalt with the highest possible melting point are used, which in the molten state often show a high aggressivity.  During the casting of the blades no external particles must enter the product and the crucible should of course be usable multiple times. The requirements of the aviation industry are extremely high and demand appropriate consumable materials.

We supply this industrial sector for many decades and are global market leader!

To achieve an optimum result, the crucible must prove

•to be extremly temperature-resistant
•to be minimal wetting
•to release nothing to the alloy

Therefore our zirconia crucibles are applied there!
